Chad Gray, the passionate Owner/Player of the Maine Bulldogs! Chad's basketball journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication, exceptional skills, and love for the game. Chad began his college basketball career at North Country Community College, where he quickly made his mark as the starting point guard. His remarkable performances on the court, averaging an impressive 24 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds per game, caught the attention of Division 1 programs, proving his immense talent and potential. While Chad had the opportunity to join Navarro College, a Division 1 Junior College in Texas, he made a decision that led him up north. He chose to finish his Junior College career at Gateway Community College, where he embraced the role of a starting shooting guard. Chad's contributions were invaluable, averaging 17 points, 2 assists, and 5 rebounds per game, making him an integral part of the team's success. Continuing his basketball journey, Chad Gray joined Thomas College in Maine. Whether starting or coming off the bench, he consistently delivered memorable highlight moments that left fans in awe. One being a monster jam on a 6'10 power forward that had the opposing team crowd on their feet in awe. His versatility and skill set contributed significantly to the team's achievements. To conclude his collegiate career, Chad made his mark at the University of Maine Augusta. As a crucial player on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court, he played an instrumental role for a scrappy team. Chad's exceptional performances earned him the Player of the Week recognition in two road conference victories, highlighting his impact. Notably, he showcased his abilities with a remarkable 19-point game against the Division 1 University of Maine Orono. Chad's basketball journey extended beyond the collegiate level as he pursued professional opportunities in the United States. He had the privilege of playing for two professional teams, further honing his skills and gaining valuable experience. Additionally, Chad participated in tryouts for the Red Claws G League and the TBL, demonstrating his determination to continue his basketball career at the highest level. Now, as the Owner/Player of the Maine Bulldogs, Chad Gray combines his passion for the game with his entrepreneurial spirit. Antoine Moiboueyi is a highly experienced professional with over 25 years of involvement in the sports industry throughout New England and the United States. Born in the West African country of Gabon, he grew up immersed in the world of soccer and was introduced to the opportunities of American high school sports while on vacation in the US. Inspired by this encounter, Moiboueyi spent four formative years at Acton Boxborough Regional High School before enrolling at Plymouth State College. During his time at Plymouth State, Moiboueyi was a standout member of the soccer team, earning numerous accolades and distinctions. However, his passion for coaching eventually led him to step away from playing competitively and focus on developing his skills as a mentor and guide. Over the course of his career, Moiboueyi has successfully coached a variety of sports at all levels, ranging from middle school to the semi-professional tier. His coaching expertise extends to soccer, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse, showcasing his versatility and commitment to athletic development. Moiboueyi's dedication to professional growth is reflected in his possession of national coaching licenses in soccer from United Soccer Coaches and basketball from USA Basketball. Additionally, he holds a unified coaching license along with numerous certifications, including first aid, concussion protocols, NCAA recruiting, and more. These qualifications highlight his comprehensive approach to coaching and ensuring the well-being of his athletes. Currently, Moiboueyi focuses on assisting athletes with their mental state, helping them navigate the challenges they face as they progress to higher levels of competition, whether that be collegiate sports or beyond. He emphasizes the importance of nurturing young student-athletes while simultaneously preparing them for future endeavors. As he embarks on his journey with the Maine Bulldogs, Moiboueyi eagerly anticipates building the franchise, making a positive impact on the community, and, above all, serving the state of Maine to the best of his abilities. Head Coach
Coach Jim Libby will serve as assistant head coach of the Maine Bulldogs in the American Basketball Association (ABA) this season. Coach Libby has been a high school, A.A.U., and college basketball coach in Maine for the past 35 years. He is the former head basketball coach at Thomas College after serving as an assistant coach at St. Joseph’s College under Rick Simonds, that school’s all-time leader in coaching victories in men’s varsity basketball. While at St. Joseph’s, Coach Libby developed a reputation as a strong recruiter and tactician. At Thomas College, he inherited a men’s program that had recorded a 0 – 24 record in 2001. He quickly turned the Terriers into perennial contenders in North Atlantic Conference (N.A.C.) play. The Thomas College men qualified for the playoffs in all years that Libby coached, including one year coaching the Thomas women’s varsity as well. Coach Libby has served in a variety of other basketball positions. He was the head varsity girl’s coach at Gorham High School. He led Gorham to two consecutive appearances in the Maine Principal’s Association quarter finals in the Augusta Civic Center. He also served as the director of Hoop Basketball Camp in Casco, Maine for several years. He founded the Greater Waterville Summer Basketball League as well. In recent years, he has coached with the highly-regarded Firecrackers and Maine Thunder AAU programs, where has worked with some of Maine’s most talented high school players. “I am excited about the opportunity to help develop A.B.A. basketball in the state of Maine.” This is a great year for Maine basketball and for economic development in central Maine,” said Coach Libby. “It’s an honor to work with long-time professional basketball coach and new Bulldogs Head Coach, Willie Ponds, Jr.”

At 26 years old, Matthew's dedication to the art of photography spans over seven years, making him a seasoned professional in the field. His artistic vision and creative flair are a testament to his years of experience and unwavering commitment to his craft. After completing his high school education at Waterville Senior High, Matthew further pursued his passion for photography by studying at the renowned Southern Maine Community College (SMCC). There, he honed his skills and expanded his horizons, specializing in Communications and New Media with a keen focus on photography and videography. Matthew's academic background in Communications has equipped him with the ability to capture not only stunning visuals but also to tell compelling stories through his lens. His photographs and videos have a unique narrative quality that sets him apart as a storyteller in the world of visual arts. His love for his home state of Maine shines through in his work, as he has an innate talent for capturing the essence and natural beauty of the region. Whether it's the rugged coastlines, lush forests, or vibrant cityscapes, Matthew's photographs beautifully showcase the soul of Maine. With Scarborough as his current base, Matthew continuously explores new avenues and challenges to push the boundaries of his artistry. Nathan Lapointe, a Theatre Program Associate at The Childrens Museum and Theater of Maine, is an Actor, Entertainer, Improviser, Musician, Concious Hip Hop artist, Voice actor, and Comedian based out of Portland, ME. Nathan aka Unique Unknown, found his creative roots in Van Buren, Maine. Starting out playing drums to classic rock music, his love of wordplay inevitably guided him towards theater and hip-hop, both of which he has embraced through his time spent at college and beyond. He and Kyler Henningsen co-founded Family Banned Records with the aim to bring awareness to the healing power of art and culture. He has also created a hip hop curriculum with students in Windham, and Raymond, ME and currently uses his music and theater skills to collaborate with the children and families at CMTM. Nathan has performed in multiple main stage productions in Maddy’s Theatre. As a Theatre Program Associate, Nathan is a key individual in Pop Up Play development and performance.
